Located 22 miles directly South of Indianapolis, Franklin, Indiana has the personality of a small town wrapped up in a small city.
Through this website, the Franklin Chamber of Commerce is committed to providing visitors with information about Chamber events and members, as well as information to individuals and businesses about becoming Chamber members or relocating to the Franklin area.
The Franklin Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of the business community.
Through a number of programs and events, the Franklin Chamber strives to strengthen the City of Franklin by “Linking Business with Community”.

CONGRATULATIONS
TO CHAMBER AWARDS WINNERS
The Franklin Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the winners of the 2008 Chamber Awards.
Ray Jones Technology Director for Franklin Community Schools was chosen as Citizen/Volunteer of the Year
Franklin United Methodist Community was chosen as Business/Organization of the Year.
The Chamber will donate $250.00 in each winner’s name to the charity of their choice.
In addition, the winners will be honored at the Chamber’s monthly luncheon on March 13th at Beeson Hall. The luncheon will be open to the public. Cost to attend the luncheon is $12.00 person. Reservations should be made by noon on Tuesday, March 11 by clicking on the RSVP tab at the top of the page or calling the office (736-6334).

MAY 8TH LUNCHEON

Mr. Mike Crowther, President and CEO of the Indianapolis Zoo will be the speaker at our luncheon on May 8th at Franklin College Napolitan Student Center. Mike was appointed President of the Zoo in June 2002 and has presided over the completion of the Zoo’s master plan and launching of five spectacular new exhibits during his tenure—white rhinos in 2003, seahorses in 2004, and the new Dolphin Adventure in 2005, which includes the world’s first fully-submerged dolphin observation dome, Meerkats in 2006, and the Oceans Exhibit in 2007.
Reservations are requested by noon on Tuesday, May 6th. Reservations can be made by clicking on the RSVP tab at top or by calling the office (736-6334). Cost to attend the luncheon is $12.00 per person (with prior reservations).

Indiana Downs is hosting an All Chamber Business After Hours on April 29th from 5-7 p.m. It will be an evening of exciting horse racing,
tasty hors d’ oeurves and plenty of great networking! Cash bar will be available.
The track is located at 4200 N. Michigan Road in Shelbyville. (Exit 109 from East I-74)

We are going to have bus transportation to the track if you do not want to drive! The bus will leave from Odyssey Banquet and Conference Center at 4:30 p.m. and will leave Indiana Downs to return to Franklin at 7:00 p.m. There is limited space on the bus so please call the Chamber office to make reservations if you want to ride the bus.

Just a reminder that the Beginners Session of the Netting the Course Ladies Golf Clinic starts next Tuesday, April 15th at The Legend’s of Indiana Golf Course. If you (or someone you know) are interested in participating and haven’t signed up yet—time is running out!
The series is designed to enhance the players’ knowledge of the game, rules, etiquette and instructions. With two outstanding instructors in Ted Bishop, PGA, Director of Golf, and Ryan Ford, PGA, head golf professional at The Legends you are guaranteed an experience that will be fun, entertaining, and worthwhile!
